What we collect, and what we do not
Same idea as the rest of this site. Plain words, no dark patterns. This is a plain-English summary, last updated 30 July 2026.
Who runs this site
Sauna.Guide is operated by AC0 AI S.L.U. (NIF B26808741), the data controller for anything described here. Full registered details are on the Aviso Legal page. Questions, or to exercise any of your rights below, email david@sauna.guide.
How we measure the site
We use PostHog to understand which pages and tools are useful, where a form stops working, and whether visitors return. Most browsing activity uses a browser identifier. Quote-request analytics use an anonymous submission identifier and operational categories only. We do not send a quote requester's name, email, phone number, ZIP code, or free-text notes to PostHog. We do not use analytics for advertising or to track you across other websites.
Information you send us
- Buyer's email sequence: your email address and the signup source are used to send the requested emails and understand which signup path worked.
- Quote reviews: we collect your email address, pasted quote or room-plan text, the name of an attached file, and the page or tool that sent you. An uploaded file is sent with the notification email; Turso stores the filename, not the file itself. Quote-review details are not shared with dealers and submitting a review does not subscribe you to marketing.
- New-project quote requests: after we confirm that your ZIP is in a published service area, we collect your name, email, phone number, city, state, ZIP, project type, heat type, budget, timeline, optional brand or model, and optional notes. We use these details to review the project and communicate with you. A provider may receive an anonymous project brief containing the market, project type, heat type, budget, timeline, and optional brand or model. The brief excludes your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, and free-text notes.
- Invited brand-profile requests: we collect the selected brand, your name, role, company or agency, work email, optional update notes, outreach source, and confirmation that you are authorized to represent the brand. We use this only to verify and handle the request, discuss scope, and administer any resulting commercial relationship.
Your quote-request contact details stay with Sauna Guide unless you later give separate, explicit permission for an introduction to one named provider. Requesting a quote is not that permission. We do not send a request to multiple providers or sell it as a bid-marketplace lead. If you separately tick the optional newsletter box, that choice is recorded and used only for the newsletter; it is never preselected.
Brand-profile request contact fields are stored in Turso and sent through Plunk so we can respond. We do not send the claimant's name, role, company, work email, or message to PostHog. PostHog receives only operational fields such as the brand slug, outreach source, offer code, and a submission identifier that is not the claimant's email address.
Cookies we use
PostHog may set a first-party analytics cookie through our own domain. You can block or delete it any time in your browser settings, and the site keeps working without it. We may also use strictly necessary browser storage for basic platform behavior. We do not use advertising cookies.
Tools we use
- PostHog for product analytics, hosted in the EU. Traffic is routed through our own domain at /ingest. PostHog may also record session replays, such as how visitors scroll and click, so we can find confusing interactions. Sensitive inputs are masked, the brand-profile request form is marked to prevent event capture, and replays are deleted after 30 days.
- Plunk for the buyer's email sequence and transactional messages, including quote-request, quote-review, and brand-profile request confirmations and notifications.
- Turso for operational records from quote requests, quote reviews, and invited brand-profile requests. These records can contain the form information described above.
- Vercel for hosting and request delivery, plus aggregate Analytics and Speed Insights. Its product analytics are cookieless and do not identify you.
- Google Search Console shows us how pages perform in Google Search. Google processes that search data on Google's side.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not run ad networks, and we do not track you across other websites. Sauna Guide may receive a disclosed referral fee if you later authorize an introduction and the provider accepts it. That fee does not permit contact-data sharing without your separate approval and does not determine editorial ranking.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to its processing. Email david@sauna.guide and we will handle it. Newsletter delivery necessarily uses the email address you submitted, while quote-request contact fields and brand-profile request contact fields are kept out of PostHog. You can clear the analytics cookie yourself in your browser at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
Retention and changes
We keep analytics only as long as it is useful for improving the site. We normally delete or anonymize quote-request and quote-review personal data within 24 months after the last activity, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we must retain a limited record for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes. Commercial records may be kept for the legally required period. You can ask us to delete personal data that we no longer need. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where required, ask for consent.
